L.S.C.F.I. TO SERVE CHEESEBURGERS AT THE "CHEESEBURGER" CONCERT
The Foundation will serve Gourmet Cheeseburgers and Virgin Margaritas at the Concert in the Park on June 11th. Plan to have dinner at the park. Under the capable direction of Chef Will Bullington, there will be an opportunity to create your cheeseburger just the way you like it!
Lake Shastina Community Foundation exists to raise funds to improve the recreational facilities and public safety in and around the community of Lake Shastina.

EXTRORDINARY DAY PLANNED FOR HOY PARK
The Lake Shastina Community Foundation has planned an exciting day of events for the Third Annual “Day at Hoy Park”
on Saturday, September 18th from 10:00 AM to 5:00 P.M.
A special event will be an opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for one of two one-year free memberships to all four fitness facilities owned by Mt. Shasta Physical Therapy, including Resolutions Gym in Lake Shastina. The raffle will be held throughout the day. Proceeds will go toward amenities for Hoy Family Park. We wish to thank the management for their generous donation. Paula Reynolds has secured wonderful entertainment and, in addition there will be games for the children, a Bounce House, The Siskiyou County Arts Bus where children can create works of art, Vendors and a Farmer’s Market.
The Lake Shastina Community Foundation and their wonderful team, under the direction of “Chef Bullington” will be selling Hamburgers, Cheeseburgers, Hot Dogs, chips, sodas and pop corn.
Come early and stay late so you won’t miss any of the wonderful performances that will be happening throughout the day.
10:00 AM CHAMPION CLUB
Classic Swing Featuring Nathan Johnston on clarinet and Therese Condit on keyboards and vocals. Nathan is a local educator who teaches a variety of subjects at Golden Eagle Charter School and College of the Siskiyous. He will be offering music industry classes, including a computer music notation course at COS. Enjoy favorite jazz standards by artists like Ella Fitzgerald and Frank Sinatra.
11:30 am BILLY BANJO BLUEGRASS
Weed resident and first-rate banjo player and storyteller Billy Shaver and friends play classic bluegrass with pals Jak Anderson and Jim Roy.
Billy is also a fantastic storyteller, so belly up to the stage with the family for amazing music and great old-time stories. Billy is the fortunate husband of Stephanie Shaver, event coordinator for the Weed Chamber of Commerce, and director of the Weed Arts Council.
1:30 pm CHICK MUSIC
Rock out to music inspired by your favorite female artists - like Shery Crow, Bonnie Raitt, and many more singer/songwriters.
Paula Reynolds, Gerry Smida, Christopher Prim, Michael Gregory and Harvey Williams round out the day with favorite rock tunes. Christopher is an accomplished vocalist providing songs by artists like Tom Petty and Bob Dylan.
Paula Reynolds and Harvey Williams are both Lake Shastina residents, and parents of children who are very much looking forward to the improvements coming to Hoy Park.
2:30 pm MOUNTAIN GYPSIES BELLY DANCERS
The Chick Music show is enhanced by a mid-show performance by local group the Mountain Gypsies belly dancers. Enjoy world class belly dance routines, definitely like you have never seen before. The director is Weed resident Brenda Woods.

‘The Day at Hoy Park” is presented annually as a gift to the community and as a way to raise awareness of the beautiful park which is here for all residents of Lake Shastina and the surrounding areas and communities to enjoy. The Foundation would appreciate your tax deductible donations to help defray the costs of the day. These can be sent to the LSCFI at PO Box 265, Weed, CA 96094.
